Nativity; I have been thinking about that moment, humanity being in the same space as divinity. Time stopped. A moment so ordinary and spectacular that it is still happening all around us. Babies are born, small kindnesses are delivered, and love is found. In those quiet humble moments, we lean over the manger holding those moments in time and glimpse the purest meekness that only almighty power can summon and we become our best and truest as we learn the gifts of our blessing and gratitude. These are not the lessons of suffering: those will come later, but rather the tiny gifts of comfort and love. So small and unimportant, but that they have cosmic impact. The tiny butterflies of change that beat their wings unseen and the whole world shifts. And in perpetual stillness, we can be in the moment again - seeing through time and holding it all together in our hearts. Because what is humanity if not the summation of tiny moments and tiny events that have an almighty power that exist beyond time, beyond space, and beyond doubt and blindness.
